He promised to headbutt me, if he ever saw me. Charming.

I guess that my solution would be that he 'never saw me'.

Are you a poo man yourself?

    Regardless, monkfish is good tucker.

And relatively healthy too - low in sodium.

    You made rissoles with Monkfish?

On the monkfish, it has a membrane that needs removing befor cooking else it'll shrink. It may already have been removed.

It doesn't actually taste much like lobster, but it is a seriously underrated fish.

Looks like Chitty's ten to two anyone will do bird, but tastes like what he imagines she looks like after 2 gallons of gut rot.

No the rissoles are the kids dinner. The monkfish is for me to try . Many say it tastes like lobster I hope so. The kids are just hoping that they can turn the rissoles into a turd

So, the thread's about a meal you're cooking from monkfish, but the pic is of something else.

    OK then.

This might be BLD's most pissed week ever.

I only get a weekend to do this sort of shit.

Putting a photo in the right section can be hard though...for some.

No wonder he "looks down" on my type.

I believe white wine is the way to go.

An old friend of mine - when she wasn't sniffed out of her tree - used to rave about this.

    Step 1. Melt the butter

    Step 2. Sear the fish.

Step 3. Add garlic. Don't burn it.

Step 4. Add white wine. Reduce. Cook fish.

    Winner winner.

I am prepping Scottish Cullen Skink for dinner for 4 tonight post siesta, twas a big lunch!

It is a complete meal like a Basque Marmatikio, French Bouillabaise or Brazilian Moqueca a fisherman;s pot luck stew use best seafood deboned you can find ,healthy tasty A pound or 450 baht/gram of Smoked Haddock same for Diugeness shelled crab

For extra richness, I also add a small glass of Fino/Marsala or White Port oktbsp Greek Yog, Cocont cream to Jalapenose and a pinch f saffron/Azafran /safrane from Iran

Serve with Memoro Chianti and Garlic Bread Iranian dates and Greek Yog sides

    Ingredients

    Method

    • STEP 1Melt the butter in a saucepan over a medium heat, then add the onion and fry for 5-8 mins until translucent but not browned. Add the potatoes and 300ml water and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat slightly and simmer for 10-15 mins.
    • STEP 2Meanwhile, put the haddock in another pan and cover with the the milk. Cook gently for 5 mins, or until just tender. Remove the haddock from the milk with a slotted spoon (reserving the milk), transfer to a plate and leave to cool slightly. When cool enough to touch, flake into large pieces, removing any bones.
    • STEP 3Put the reserved milk and flaked haddock in the pan with the potato mixture and cook for another 5 mins. Season and sprinkle over the parsley to serve.
