Doug Harrison of Bourbon St. is a long time survivor. He saw the end of Washington Sq. his original location coming and moved upscale. It damn well worked. He built up the new location while phasing out the old. Lost his niche hotel there as well, but the new joint has flourished. More than 30 years the guy has been putting out great Cajun food, and also a nice Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner... Along with his great breakfasts.

I met the owner and his mate Gerry a couple of years back. He paid my whole beer bill and I ended up going to a 'private bar' where everything was free.

If I remember correctly the establishment was down the bottom of some soi then

If you walked into the Square from Sukhumvit the bar was down the second soi on the left.

You could get to it from a number of directions depending upon which entrance into Washington Square you took.

I normally started off in Taffys Hairy Pie bar and then went to Bourbon Street Bar for a feed.
