So why did you buy farmed surely they had photos of the fish.?
Once again your remarkable stupidity is on display. The Japanese buy up most of the best Salmon and that drives up the price. Clearly you do not understand simple economics.
Wrong again. Most of Norway's salmon is farmed not wild. China and Japan import most of their salmon from Chile then the US.
Canada has not had a commerical Atlantic salmon fishery in almost a decade due to over fishing, in fact most nations have fished it to the level that it is either extinct or endangered. When people talk of Atlantic salmon these days it is almost always farm raised and not wild.

Fishing was my family business and this is a well known fact in the industry but I only worked in the dockside of it as a young man. The Japanese would buy all the highest grade salmon right off the boat. I decided to google and it looks like a lot has changed over the years and China is now the largest importer of Alaskan seafood with Japan being second. But you can rest assured that the Japs still get the best of the best. They will pay a price that no one else will.
