    Nice.

Haven't had Tom kah gai in far too long. Delish with Khao Kai jeow.

Won't be having it tomorrow either though. Back down to Villa to clear out their stock of Bento pies.

Not really dinner, but an old mate came over to watch a game on tv yesterday so we needed some nibblies. Buffalo wings in the oven worked a treat, just served with some Ranch dressing on the side.

And this was dinner one night last week. I don't normally post pics from eating out but this was just superb with a belly full of beer. It's not on the menu but the Retox group in Pattaya rotate it thru their bars as a special, it's called posh fish'n'chips and the fish is Salmon. I'd never had battered Salmon before and it's just off the hook GOOD, how they plate this for around 200 Baht is beyond me but I'll be having it again. The pic doesn't do justice to the size of the dish, even big eaters will have trouble getting this down.

Been a while since I've made a curry, so I'm doing a karahi gosht tonight. The lamb has been marinating in garlic and ginger for the last 12 hours and is smelling great.

    In the meantime...

^ There's a lot of processed shit going on there, fella.

Your food usually looks really nice, but the last few have gone a bit SE Asia junk.

Thai wife, can't eat farang food all the time. Was just the rest of the Vietnamese sausage and some chopped out fish balls and veggies thrown in with the noodles, bloody tasty.

I've never heard of battered salmon. It's quite a delicate fish, that looks yumski!! And perfectly cooked.

Heatwave still going on here, you hear the thunder but no storms show up...! and people get a bit irate. Dogs are barking, babies are crying, people walking the empty streets at 3 in the morning trying to find some cool air. That sort of thing.

So, tonight, a simple little salad, healthy brown bread toast and smoked salmon.

Tommorow i'm seeing a physio - who will probably make me ride a static bike for 10 kilometers.... with heart sticker things stuck onto my chest!! That should be fun. At 8.30 in the morning.... I gave up sport when i was 16 and discovered boys and cigarettes!!

    It does.

I'm having salmon tonight, but can't batter it as it's fookin' Monday. weekday diet. Will have it baked with bladdy salad instead.

    Maybe at the weekend.

A very odd way to prepare salmon. Sort of a pub grub take on it.

...odd, of course, is in the eye of the preparer...many traditional recipes have been made more interesting by "odd" modifications...
