Part of my new year's resolution is to be .... well, I suppose. Less of a c.unt.

This plate of grub looks a bit odd though.

    The chips look raw/undercooked.
The steak, while nice n thick, looks a bit over done.
The tomatoes.... they weren't cored, or sliced or diced, or cooked in any way. Were they just sliced in half and placed on the plate?

Nice balanced bit of protein and minerals etc mind.

Don't usually eat beef nowadays as both E+E gave it up last year.

Got back and an Aussie artisan butcher guy has some Aussie ribeyes that caught the eye.

First time doing steak on the BBQ at the villa.

    Will be doing it again.

    Salt.
    Pepper.
    Soaked in melted butter.

    The melted butter smokes.

    Then catches fire.

    Set on fire.
    Rest.
    Scoff.

Will head back to me new cobber Bruce tomorrow I recks. Will be me go-to method of steaking in the future.

May I add that the portion sizes and ratio are bang on the money, sir.

^ Thank you, but a bit late now.

Can I add that my 'overdone' steaks were less dark than yours, and had no burnt bits?

The 'raw' oven chips were perfectly done with no burnt 'char' as they call it. And the tomatoes were halved, then baked with the chips and were also pretty well perfect. I must admit that I didn't know that 'coring' a tomato was a thing. It must be difficult with those cherry tomatoes.

The peas were, of course, boiled to perfection.

    Decisions, decisions?????

The international range of cultural and culinary flavours of Pot Noodles.

Around the world in six Pot Noodles.

We have the Bombay Bad Boy from our India maestros..
The Sticky Rib flavour from our swamp dwelling brethren across the pond...
The Piri Piri flavour from the Mediterranean..
A couple from the land of the rising sun, Chow Mein and Sweet n Sour and a Turkish Doner Kebab flavoured one.

    Dinner-20240105_165717-jpg

    Hmm, which one first?
    Shalom

Pot Noodles are not dinner. Drunk food, perhaps.
