Two nice dishes, I could devour any one!

Cyrille. How do you know I'm a leftie? Surely not the knife and fork, they were just thrown there!

    It's a sandwich.
It's what I had for dinner.
    What's your problem with sandwiches.
Easy to prepare and eat while you are watching the cricket.

I love sandwiches, I'll be having a couple when I get back to my shitty little soul-less apartment in the desert, tonight.

I don't watch cricket any more. Didn't watch the cycling today either...

I stick to Rugby Union, and football when 2 English clubs are playing each other.

A nice sandwich is very nice.
    Cycling should be banned!!!

A year and a half from now with my kids gone and at uni in the states I will be eating like Necron. I like his style. Add a stew, lasagna, casserole, that is good for a few nights and cooking will be a breeze. Plus I will be able to cook beef outside and get some steak sandwich stuff going.

I like a Philly steak but at the same time a real steak san like Necron put up is the real deal as well. Cut the green bell though. If it has to be there use red, so much sweeter and looks nicer as well.

Not so fast, AO - once your kids have vacated, I was planning to move in with me missus and MiL (2 cats); we wanna eat like royalty too!

I don't think rice pud on wonderbread counts.
    Technically.

Actually, I was hoping to move in. There are advantages to me as lodger, rather than Betsy, AO. I smell nicer. I can actually cook something other than Ambrosia Creamed Rice. I wouldn't want to move a lot of goats in (never mind a wife and MiL)...

I fancied a bit of liver and onions plus mash and plenty of gravy yesterday, , so first I mashed me tatties

Then whilst I was cooking the various bits and bobs had a couple of cold Leo's then plattered it up on me balcony table, bloody delicious it was to!

I ate half the mash, then the other half I fried up with an egg and some nice toast for my breakfast this morning, that was bloody delicious to
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

    ^ Plus 10 for ingenuity.

Been pondering how to do mash without a masher. Never considered that.

Well seeing as how Betty has something against my sangas.
    Suddenly....

Perfect oven finished steak with Worcester, the rest of my teriyaki onions, slaw and home made wedges for those that hate crinklecut...

    450 gm plain flour.
    1 egg yolk.
    175 gm homemade lard.
    100 ml full fat milk.

Bring the lard and milk to the boil and pour over the egg and flour.
    Stir with a wooden spoon.
Kneed on floured surface for 5 minutes.

    Pork and eggs inside.

@ Charley - happy birthday! The cake (or pie) looked delicious.

I liked the mashed potato w/ other stuff, and the lasagna, but not the raw-looking steak, sorry...

I was inspired by November Rain to try a dish - the Spicy Thai Ginger, but I used Chicken (recipe said you can use any kind of meat), so it's Spicy Thai Ginger with Chicken. Did it for Sunday lunch.

The ingredients (sorry for putting the tomatoes with the chicken, they were only together for a short time, for pic purposes, lol)

I added the Chinese cabbage because I wanted more veggies in the dish.

    The finished product

with brown rice (yes, my plate matches my tablecloth)

@NR - it was easy to prepare and tasted delish! Thanks for the inspiration!

    Chicken with ginger.

    One of my favourite dishes.

    Your version looks tasty.

I'd hit it with some soy sauce.

That pan must have served about eight of those portions - full marks for economy.

    Were the basketball team satisfied?
