Very nice Troy and I'm sure well appreciated.
I was quite excited last week to find frozen cod fillets on sale in Makro again... so planned to have cod an' chips on Saturday night.
Unfortunately, what with a trip into Korat to visit The Mall to sort the daughter's phone out, picking up some new hens and catfish, and calling in to 'Korat Chef' for some sausages and Bird's Custard Powder, yesterday just slipped away from me. I was too knackered to make a proper meal up so thought we'd have a kind of buffet. I wish I could claim drunkeness for my efforts which ended up quite 'Chittyesque', but I can't, so in the Dinner thread it is (I know how persnickety some can get about using the correct food thread). I had a couple late afternoon but I think I just wasn't really in the mood for cooking.
I decided on cod duojons, calamari (I found some squid rings in Makro as well) and burritos.

I wanted to use up some left over spaghetti bolognaise we had lurking in the fridge... well, in fact it was spaghetti macaroni owing to an error when cooking last week.

All prepared and ready for cooking.

I think I was just too ambitious, to be honest.

The chips weren't too bad.

I discovered that calamari isn't so easy to cook and I probably won't try again.

Maya sensed a disaster and stood back, knowing she would be rewarded afterwards. The dogs each got a calamari ring and half a cod doujon for their treat.

That or Dill's South Whale Beach Diet thread. Bladdy 'ell. :)
^^ Looks tasty.
Just as well he isn't Japanese then.
How popular would a Thai restaurant be in Glenrothes if it sold fried bugs and boiled spicy chicken intestines. :)
^ started early :)
Surely that was the drunk food thread, Mendy? Just sayin.
Why would I want authentic Japanese food? I’m not Japanese. I want the safe stuff that’s tailor made for my pallet.
parts of that sashimi set were Laab And Yam.
Thai style Jap food is fine by me.
Yes it is.

Had me a nice Sushi dinner at my Fav place near Jomtien. Always quality.
Naaah. I prefer Sashimi quite honestly and seldom, if ever, eat a roll except on the occasion I want the soft shell crab. I found that rolls fill you up with rice and I do not like cucumber as I have said before. Hard to request a roll with no cucumber. It messes up their entire program. :)
Chicken doujons, spaghetti macaroni, bananas in custard...
The bounder has toy food and dogs:)
That's clearly obvious Mendy. :). I admire you spend hours on them as well. I suspect you start the idea sober, mid way in you are some what anesthetized and by eat time you are fully loaded and you are not sure what thread to post the pics....
But again...Nuttin but love for ya.....:tumbs:
