HW I added the parm after I took the pic.
Next time I will make sure to add the grated cheese before snapping the pic.
It has worked out fine for us bsnuby.
The house is far too big for us and is over 35 years old with some wear and tear.
In reality the house is worth nothing but the land is worth a fortune.
After the council have demolished the house they are going to push the debris into the klong so we save a lot on land fill and expand our land area.
A win for us and if the council can fix the flooding problem a win for them and the local residents.
I caught a pla nin in the pond yesterday but it wasn't enough for our fish and chips. The wife got another from the market but then it was too much... what can ya do?
Before Edmond gets too self righteous about portion size, the fish will be lunch on Monday as well. I just stuck it all on the plate for the photo.
A duo of garden and mushy peas and a battered sausage to boot! I've never done that before.
The plump 'market' pla nin fillet is on the left... my meagre pond-caught pla nin fillet is on the right. Hormone and anti-biotic flushed versus pretty well organic. I added a splash of Leo to the batter for that pub 'beer batter' flavour... but it made FA difference.
And of course to finish up out came the Tommy ketchup for the battered sausage!
Very nice Mendip! The fish and the mushy peas look superb, considering it was pla nin you were using.
Respeckt Mendip, very nice!
Sunday roast today... the first I've done since my Christmas Day roast chickens under very different circumstances.
Mainly veg... nice portion control!
I've noticed there are almost always two plates in your pics, Mendip.
Does your wife eschew peas and potatoes in favour of rice, spice and things that make even garden peas look nice?
^ Yeah, the wife spent many years in the West and should know better... but much refers her rice with evil smelling brownish red-coloured concoctions kept in bowls in the fridge.
Up to her of course, but it would be nice to be cooked for once in a while.
Mashed Maris piper potatoes with melted butter served as a volcano with a lava beef gravy. Two boiled loin steaks in gravy. Briefly steamed green snap peas, asparagus and Broccoli. Accompanied by a dash of mustard and a dollop of Cranberry sauce.
(How many adjectives?)
South of the M4 we feed the meat to the dogs and get the maids to grill the rind, the best bit as a beer snack until its time for supper.
Tonight the kitchen arranged a roast beef with gravy and veg.
^^ KW you can just piss right off.
Says Nidhogg who is looking at a bowl of chicken noodle soup for dinner....not jealous at all. Not even a bit. F*ck.
