You know why they never play music or even the tv audio? They are saving a heap of cash by not having PRS certificates. Add to that the murmuring and smell of peoples body odour/farts (no cigarette smoke), the low end dirge of patrons that stand about drinking Stella or Hen and you could easily be at someones funeral.

I totally agree. However the ones in old banks (like to one on Whitehall) are excellent sympathetic conversions.

Upped the ante on this fucker today. Added some tomato, and a couple of chipolatas on the side, wholemeal wrap, extra thick bacon. The smear? tommy k with a puddle of my home made mango chilli sauce.

Got to be worth £8.99 in some fancy eatery.

Neck Chops with Mash and Onion Gravy.

Porridge with some honey and a banana. Not had it for ages and it was surprisingly decent.

Nothing is good in Weatherspoons. Nothing.

The one in Crewe used to have a good selection of cask ales and support local brewers which is rare for the big chains. But sadly closed a couple of weeks ago and not opening another branch in the thriving metropolis of Crewe.

I always thought the the best thing about 'spoons was that it keeps the riff raff confined to one. However, once 'spoons has colonized a town, and driven the competitors to near bankruptcy, they then start driving the prices up, leaving a gap in the market for the hardened drinkers pubs making a penny a pint. They attract an interesting cleintelle now and seem to target themselves outside of the cities to Women (birhgt lights, mirrors, lots of tables, fruities volume turned down etc and selling panini's.

'spoons is shit though. Properly shit.
