M'Sahib wanted to christen her new griddle pan this morning, so burgers were the option for brunch.

The top lid arrangement certainly seems to help with cooking the meat right through.

What happened to SEA traveller anyway ...
I have an old and battered egg poacher my mother gave to me years ago. Similar to the pic below but lid isn't glass.

LOL, that's the kind my mom had as well.
I wonder if they still exist.....I just looked on lazada and nada from what I found.
I used to have one the same. You can still get them in the UK.
Buy Argos Home 20cm Black Aluminium Egg Poacher | Saucepans | Argos
Buy Salter Easypour Egg Pan | Saucepans | Argos
Much better to use these than a saucepan dedicated to doing one job ...
They should have them on lazada.
Silicone egg poachers...

^ I did see those...any pics of how they actually work? I also saw metal ones as well...

The old style pans weren't single function, the poaching top was something set on top of a regular pan.
I see.
Guess the dangers of micro-plastics recognised these days makes them a thing of the past.

Nice, thanks...I've been experimenting with microwaved poached eggs...they turn out ok, but are less than photogenic.
The ones using the silicone thingies are fine.
A bit 'uniform', obviously not as good as the 'whirled' look an expert can achieve.
But I'm no expert.
For the breakfast enthusiast.

^ Easy enough with very fresh eggs, the poacher is best when when the eggs are a little older.
Third cold morning in a row and decided some comfort food was in order. Sautéed a brown onion in olive oil and a lot of cajun spice, added chopped sliced ham and half a large tin of baked beans. Served on thick wholemeal toasted covered in some generous slabs of salted butter. Hit the spot.

New daily breakfast regime.
Bacon done away with and replaced with half a chicken breast.
Different batches done up and put away - Pesto Rosso, Pesto Genvese, Teriyaki, Soi sauce and honey.
Early run or cycle, then scrambled eggs with diced peppers and onions, and chicken breast of choice.
Perfectimo. Nice protein before a lunchtime gym workout.
