    Tea...

really wasn't sure what to put, tea is sweet in the sweeeeeet! sense, but sweet tea (sugary stuff) is nasty! MH constantly criticises me for drinking tea, she hates the stuff. she says 'your video encoding, your tea drinking, next thing you'll have slippers and a pipe!!' and i always leave mugs by the computer. i'll have to get my camera out and take some snaps of my big tea mugs. including the one that says TEA * TEA * TEA * TEA * all the way round. mmmmm, mouth watering from thought of tea.....

Coffee in the mornings only, and perhaps an ice tea in the afternoon.

I remember having tea in the ruins of Palmyra in Syria.

Majestic ancient Roman and Syrian ruins, we camped on the site, and in the morning while strolling through a fetching young Arab girl invited us to her place for tea!
Her house was in the middle of the ruins.

I couldn't imagine requesting coffee in this circumstance. It had to be tea!

an oversight on the part of the pollmaker. you could have included your additional choices in your response. next time perhaps.

the either 'tea is for pooves' or 'otter™' would have seemed your most likely of options.

a short whio after gulf war I. i was working in Jeddah, and one of the security guys used to let me watch the belly dancing on the tv in his control centre (glorified shed). anyway he was syrian, and he invited myself & MH over to stay when his contract was over. i didn't have the heart to tell him what i thought of syria, syrians, muslims & arabs in general, so i politely smiled & nodded.

    Finally! A thread with substance!

One black coffee in the morning to kick-start my brain, then green-tea for the rest of the day - maybe a cup of english tea, but no milk or sugar - YUK!

Thai's seem to like their green-tea really sweet, which means that most of the bottled stuff here is disgusting (in my opinion) as it is loaded with sugar. There are one or two sugar-free brands to choose from, but many 7/11s don't sell it

I stopped drinking soft-drinks a long time ago, and find a cold, iced glass of jasmine tea reaaly hits the spot on a hot day - or any of the traditional chinese/japanese teas for that matter.

I quite enjoy the flavour of coffee - but being the sensitive guy I am, can't sleep at night if I drink the stuff after midday ... *changes yoga position* ...

I take my coffee strong and black. I really really must have coffee first thing, else I turn into the Incredible Sulk. I agree with what wally said about the ready made green teas - how can get that much sugar to dissolve. Still, they don't hold a light to the roadside ice-tea makers....may as well just ask for a bag of sugar with a few drops of tea dropped into it. I like chrysanthemum green tea - very refreshing.

Waitress: How would you like your coffee sir, black or white?

    Just like your monkeys, eh?

I'm the same as you, matey. I need my morning coffee before work. Then after that I need to go downstairs and jump in the pool, before I fully 'wake-up'. If I fail to do this, I finish up like one of those wind-up kids toys once they hit the wall - I hit the wall and just try and keep walking untill all of my 'power' is gone, ...then I just simply stop working.

Three cups very thick med-dark roast before the Blood start's movin' Don't talk to me, don't ask me, don't fuck with me until after I've had all three of 'em.
Tea? That lemon tea they make on the streets, very sweet; I like it. Not really tea though is it?
Hate sweetness of anykind in any other tea. Hot or cold tea should be tea that's it realy needs, nothng refreshes as well as the clean taste of an ice cold green tea.

If Poolie would have been in Saudi it would have been coffee. I used to have a beautiful copper coffee pot from there. Lost it in lifes shuffle, but I do have a Tibetan tea pot, past down by my dad.

I've been experimenting with Mulberry Tea and quite enjoying it.

What are the best normal tea bags available in Thailand, I get Lipton cos there cheap and OK. The only other ones I see are Twinnings, but they are expensive.

Didn't KK mention someting about PG a while back? Got any in Ken?

You are in the far east man!

You can buy fantastic chinese/ect., teas for a fraction of the the price the 'yuppies' pay for it back in the west!

Make the most of it while you can!
