My first lok at this thread, was hoping it would have gone wildly off topic by post 25, but no...you idiots are still talking about fuking tea.
Very disappointing show.
Andy murray just beat Leyton Hewitt in the final of the san Jose classic after beating Andy roddick in the semi.
I am assuming that this is sport related somehow. Am I right? seeng that is mano a mano I am thinking it might be golf? Tennis? Soggy biscuit? Any hints?Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon
Ahhh, now that's much better.
It's a ball sport Frankie, no biscuits but a lot of grunt.
PG is horrible. If you want good tea in Thailand, you have to pay for it.
If you work out the cost per cup though, Twinnings is not too bad. Worth it for the quality. Life is too short to drink bad tea (or wine).
I like a cup of tea with a little milk, no sugar, in bed first thing. Then a cup of coffee once I am up, on the verandah (sounds posh, it is a space at the end of the wooden house with a nice view of the mountains and Doi Suthep).
that would be enough caffeine for the day, although a cup of tea in the afternoon can be good!
I have reported your post
I think Twinnings are about 4 times the price of lipton. As I drink about 10 cups a day the economics of this are quite important - if I spend too much on tea I don't get me weetabix, you know.
Yes, I like to experiment with different teas, but still like to have a good old normal tea in reserve for drinking whilst I post crap about crap. You can buy fantastic chinese/ect., teas for a fraction of the the price the 'yuppies' pay for it back in the west!
I get people to bring over tea bags from the UK. Sainsbury's Red Label at the moment. Better that Tetley's or PG Tips IMO. I think I'm down to about 800 bags now.
I've just made myself a 'nice' cup of Green Tea Latte'.
It's an instant powdery type of thing and it tastes a bit grim with a fishy aftertaste. Quite crap really.
Shite Green Tea Latte

I sometimes find excellent teas in markets in London, often at the edge of their sell-by date. Usually about a quid for a box of 100 or so. So I bring back a few boxes of those. always good.
I suppose if you drinkl 10 cups a day Nicka, then price becomes more important. Weetabix is well overpriced though!! Have a nice croissant instead!
Blllady blaaa blaaa.
I'm drinking a bottle of soda.

No seriously it's soda, soda water.
I did ask for Sainsbury's Assam or Kenya, but my mate just got 1600 Red label instead. As it was a gift I wasn't going to get eggy with him. Mum bought over a different brand (Tescos I think), but getting her to get my beloved Kenya tea would be more trouble than its worth.Originally Posted by DrAndy
yes, the Assam is good. Kenyan I don't know
I'll be back in the UK in April, so I'll have to do some research and bring the best ones back.
1 box of Sainsbury's 'Assam' and 1 box of Sainsbury's 'Kenya' please, KK.Originally Posted by kenkannif
