You're set for the day at that price and I don't even think a Wetherspoons meal deal could compete!

Ruddy hell, you had a result there.

    All things considered, not bad.

My colleague in Saudi inherited a three bedroom apartment in Valencia that his older brother bought for €50K. On a video call his nephew who was renovating the apartment said, "The best thing is that the café on the ground floor has excellent coffee for only a Euro!"

That's a good reason to move to Spain. I would if I could.
    pues, estamos aqui

    I do miss Spain.

I really would love a month long cycling holiday around Tenerife.

Back in the day I could have bought some prime property quite easily on my wages in 6 months, although my life might be quite different now.

It's nice to keep in contact with old colleagues and see how their life's have panned out, tbf I reckon I made the right decisions.

Although I wouldn't mind the occasional holiday there.

Seville and Barcelona are on my list to revisit.

The Canaries, Balerics and Costas have been done to death and hold no attraction anymore.

Portugal has been mentioned a few times and warrants serious consideration!

I spent 6 months in Albufera in 1992 when it was a quaint fishing village, you could order a 3 course meal with wine for £5 in a traditional restaurant.

Had some great times there, Mountain missions en masse looking for the bica masiera bars in the wilderness.
Dozens of us in convoys of Renault clios getting rat arsed on brandy and strong coffee snacking on garlic snails.

    Inland was ridiculously cheap.

Although it was known as the India of Europe at the time.

My most financially lucrative week was selling a shit load of timeshare to some Irish lottery winners.
I was fighting them off with a stick that week.

The NW of Portugal is up there on my to do list, some fantastic architecture!

    Best get my passport renewed
    Shalom
