    Good call Joe

Milk is cheap but still above chicken and fish, up near the other dairy products (are eggs a dairy product even though they don't actually come out of cows?)

    Added to the league table:

    Peanuts
    $26/kg
    1.7 fat ratio

    Chicken Breast
    $32/kg
    0.1 fat ratio

    White Fish - Frozen
    $40/kg
    0.3 fat ratio

    Milk (non-gay full fat 3.3%)
    $44/kg
    1.0 fat ratio

    Eggs
    $49/kg
    0.8 fat ratio

    Cheese
    $54/kg
    1.4 fat ratio

    Whey Protein
    $57/kg
    0.0 fat ratio

    Tuna - Tinned - Drained
    $65/kg
    0.4 fat ratio (in oil)
    0.03 fat ratio (in water)

    Hummus
    $112/kg
    3.5 fat ratio

    Protein Bars - Carmans
    $140/kg
    1.0 fat ratio

    Beef Jerky
    $150/kg
    0.05 fat ratio

    Smoked Salmon
    $166/kg
    0.3 fat ratio

There was also a big gap in between Tuna and Protein bars so I have added Hummus for Nev's bicyle shopping basket while I checked the label while I was having some for my snack.

More fat in hummus than I realised. Much more than peanuts.

Tonight's healthy dinner was Dakwa Salad with pita bread which is a dish native to Sudan featuring a super-spicy chilli creamy peanut flavour and sour lime dressing.

I have not seen Miss Sudan since January when my old jesus jaag jalopy broke down on the way back from her gaff, so we got reacquainted while watching Married at First Sight 2024, which was the show that Icey's young Mikey was on a few years back.

They have switched it up on the LGFBJ front and one of the couples is sporting a lovely pair of beards.

She has been to the nail salon since January and her fluorescent fuchsia nail paint really pops against that Saharan-strength melanin

    ^ Yes, me too!

^^^ Miss Sudan appears to be facing the wrong way on your chaise lounge, did she not enjoy the tv show?

I can give her some foot beauty tips if she's interested?

Those bacon bits are made from flour, not bacon.

    Hand in your man card.

That is Miss Sudan's 7 year old daughter who finds her iPad infinitely more engrossing than any TV channel

She is a really nice kid with a lovely nature. She is also 1.5 metres tall making her a bona-freak of nature

And, no Miss Sudan did not enjoy the TV show. She is a confirmed traditional African cultural homophobe who thought the 2 bearded batty-boys should keep there banditry-business well away from TV prime time (how intolerant!)

Yes I am a sucker for convenience and preparation brevity and simplicity. The fakey-bakey bacon bits stay fresh for months and don't even need refrigerated.

Egg does indeed punch up the yumminess of the caesar

    The Blokes' Healthy Kitchen-20240408_222356-jpg

I am using spinach here since I am trying to do my leafy greans.

I don't think Romaine or Iceberg really counts as leafy green, I am not sure.

Fakin Bacon Bits are also kind of croutons really, so they serve a double purpose with their carb crunch

Going full Caesar with my mexican-spice pan-fried chicken to slice up for a topper

Yesterday was hot boiled eggs with cold tuna. Today is cold boiled eggs with hot spiced chicken.

    ^ It does!

I can't quite make out whether those pale patches around the rim of the plate are chips in the china or globs of white stuff, Caesar dressing maybe?

Doctor William is on teh money Mendo. They are indeed chips.

I have carefully saved each chip as they came off in assorted mishaps and they have been sitting in a slowly mounting pile on the window ledge for the past 2 years waiting patiently for a repair time-slot.
