    Post Up Your Chip/Crisp Sandwich!

After hearing about the wonderful deliciousness of a potato chip sandwich and watching a couple of youtube videos, I decided to give one a go....my first crisp sandwich.

Now, the Brits here have said that butter is the condiment of choice and the bread has to be white, I decided that neither would work for me as white bread is shit and only a crazy person would knowing eat that much butter once they're past the age of say....6 years old.

    My initial ingredients....

After a couple of bites of the sandwich, I realized it was missing something...

It was a delightful sandwich, I do admit, but as I don't regularly have potato chips in the house, this will probably be a rare treat for me.

I also used wholwheat bread and mayonaise on mine. I don't like crinkle cut crisps. I prefer the regular cut. But welcome to British cuisine Topper.

I did have some artesian buns available, but I figured loaf bread, even if it's not white, would closer approximate the sandwich. With the Sriracha added on, it was quite nice.

You do know you can have your US passport revoked for making and eating that dont you?

This would be allowed but you would still be given a warning.

LOL, If my passport were to be revoked over the things I've had my mouth on, it would have been revoked when I was 18 or so on my first trip to Hawaii.

Hmm,thats got me thinking. Here in the antipodes i would use the strange but tasty vegemite and cheese scroll from Coles, for this creation i would probably go for Salted butter AND mayo , with salt n vinegar cheese, i will let you know how i get on

A crisp sandwich should be white bloomer loaf, buttered both slices, then decent ham and cheddar cheese and the crisps (either ready salted or S&V) added at the top above the cheese.

I'm quite fond of a steak and kidney pie sandwich, only once or twice a year when i remember and i'm feeling a bit delicate. No crisps going in that sarnie.

Hasn't Joe started a council estate food thread already?

The size of a packet of Walker's crisps nowadays isn't enough for a sarnie
