^lol. D48 has just been rejected by snubby.
@chitty - just when I thought we could be good friends (because you're willing to try tripe), then you say that you don't like pineapple in pizza! Bah humbug!
@PAG - is there any dish that you can't do well?!
(...just be polite and smile fellas and pretend that Katie did not mention pineapple in the Pizza thread... )
In fact I honestly don't think it should even really be called Pizza.
I am sure it is interesting in its own way and I might even try it one day out of curiosity but I think it should be given its own name like
Chicago eye-thai-pie or shy-eye-tie-pie or something
Nice topic as everyone likes a good pizza. Last summer before moving over I got a small charcoal pizza oven as I know good pizza is not available in our village.
A bit of trial and error on the dough making but once I got some practice it's not so bad.
All ready to rise for a few hours
And then ready to shape after making the dough balls
I brought over some canned tomatoes for the sauce but have seen them here so no problem for later.
and the basic sauce I can freeze for later.
This little oven is great. gets up to 800 degrees and cooks a pizza in a few minutes. I do need a better work station for the oven and our kitchen sucks but fortunately not for much longer.
And the first pie ready to go in.
And the moment I worked for all afternoon. This one was a bit premature as the oven wasn't quite up to temp but at 700-800 degrees they really are perfect.
^ still looks great!
^^ they are quite good Mike, not too expensive too. I am going to knock up a steel one with my nija welding skills which is part of a BBQ idea i have. It won't be for a while and i won't do a thread if it fails, nah i will.
A little late getting her out
Snubby's sauce went well on it though
It's a fooking tightrope with those Lidl frozen pizzas!!
12-15 minutes from frozen!
What happens if you load them up at 7 mins with loads of extra ingredients or god forbid Snubbles sauce?
I'll think you'll find that the dog will enjoy the crispy edges mate
Shalom
I Often cheat in the same way also, and I tried to do so in Thailand when I saw an american brand (can't remember the name now) of spaghetti sauce that I had used back in the US to make Pizza.
After baked the Pizza tasted sweet and since I make my own dough I wondered if somehow I put too much sugar in the dough (I put a bit of sugar to activate my yeast) .
Until I tasted some of the remaining sauce in the jar.It must be that spaghetti sauce in Thailand is made for the Thai pallet and is loaded with sugar.
Not sure if all brands are 'cause I never tried it again. I now make a bunch of sauce and freeze it in ziplock bags.
PS: love anchovies. Traveling in Greece right now and plant to bring a big ass can back with me in my suitcase. They are so expensive in Thailand! If you can find them.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
^
I use them making pasta and pizza sauces, and readily available from quite a few places. Villa Market has a few varieties, this is one I typically use: https://shop.villamarket.com/product/133812
Nice attempt! Pizza looks great!
where did you get that little oven? Looks like it would be great for bread and other things also.
How does it work? is it electric or coal?
Ohh wait. After looking at your pictures more I see the coal and little torch for starting the coal
Brilliant!!.
