If I wanted a steak, I would most assuredly not buy "rump" in the first place. A cut like that needs to be stewed imho, cut it up and make a stew or chili with it.

That is exactly why you stew or slow cook it, so it doesn't get "burned". Thick as usual Helga.

    Nah

Just take a bit of skills to cook a meal for your kids, Snub

Stoneage passed by a few years ago here in Europe, and soon Willy's chauffeur will know to skip the frozen veggies too.

    Evolution ?

(and you really should avoid mentioning my, however much you fantasize about it, dicksize )

Even Chitty’s dog might turn its nose up at that ‘steak’.

    ^ Very nice.

Given the jacket on show, are you somewhere cold or just set the aircon perfectly?

    Yeah, that was lamb mate!

However, I did post an experiment of marinading shit steak with pineapple juice and another just seasoned. Can't find it now though.

    Can't even remember the outcome.

Aldi have brought out the £3 value beef steak.

230grams and half an inch thick.

I took the precaution of battering it with a rolling pin for 5 minutes then seasoning.

Took about 15 minutes in the frying pan to get it well done all the way through.

My review would be get yourself a sharp steak knife and some Turkey teeth if you wanna knaw through it..

The homemade chips and beans were reasonable too.

    What were you expecting?

handy hint: try using some meat tenderizers instead of a rolling pin.
