Snubbs ... take a chill pill.

I'm just talking facts. You pulled an article off the web, didn't really read it and promoted it as gospel.

The article you quoted is NOT the most popular breakfast food in each state, it is a list of the "what people's Googling habits are all about, from each of the 50 states. Specifically, which breakfast foods are being searched the most." <- That is the quote from your article!

If they were the most popular breakfast food in each state ... you wouldn't need to Google it.

Sure, the 'Baked Bean Burger' was a piss take ... you bite too easily

Oh ... I lived in the States for 6 months. No expert, but a decent grounding in the American Culture.

My favourite breakfast food currently is a Hot Cross Bun with lashings of butter and a decent coffee.
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

^^ But have you ever considered that some people just 'like it'?

Or that they can't afford lobsters and steaks?

I get it Mendy. If you prefer canned peas and beans with every meal knock yourself out. That said though, I can't believe you would use the "can't afford" card. You can easily afford other foods, you choose not to...right? That's OK but many of use prefer uncanned food and variety and avoid processed junk food. You know the saying, "Variety is the spice of life"

I honestly think it's so much to do with the food you ate when you were young.

We ate baked beans ... still do today.

Almost never eat canned or mushy peas as we had a Dad who gardened a lot and shelled peas out of the pod.

I can't stomach offal, maybe a lot to do with our Eastern European neighbour who used to cook tripe ... a lot.

As a treat food, burgers are great.

But we were a poor family and it might have been a treat a few times a year.

A 'hamburger patty' more likely was served up with mash/ed (potatoes), onion gravy and peas.

But, back to the burgers, because that is what this thread is about

They were a treat for us growing up. My mom used to buy ground beef and to stretch it out, added bread crumbs. But it worked and we loved it. Hot Dogs were a treat too.

I have tried over and over again to explain to these numptys that it is poverty food that no one eats in America. They just can not seem to grasp it.

Bread in the philippines is generally disappointing but for brekkie I used to really enjoy the small buns called pandesal. Fresh out of the oven . They are a bit sweet but with a slather of decent butter and Vegemite were a great start to the day

When I was in NY last year, there was an advert for baked beans on the telly.

I was wondering who they were advertising them for if nobody eats them?

Also, this is a US-based website rating the 10 best baked beans brands in the US.

The 10 Best and Worst Canned Baked Beans — Eat This Not That

Once again, who are they aiming this at if nobody eats them in the US?

It sounds to me like some people are full of shit and are out of touch with the average Joe on the ground who can't afford to get their bagels sent over from New York when they fancy a sandwich.

Indeed, baked beans , oatmeal, french fries are staples in the US diet.

On a side note, my youngest tried to sneak some syrup into the shopping trolley today and I swiftly told him to take it back and replace it with honey unless he wanted to end up like an obese American of tik tok with diabetes.

You can keep dreaming all you want. Baked beans are not a staple of any diet in America, first and foremost. They are a secondary dish served at BBQ's in the summer or with fried chicken, and they are nothing like the blue label Heinz beans you Brittles eat. They are sweet and have brown sugar or molasses and bacon in them.

It was a bagel, not a sandwich, and I have eleven more in the freezer.

You are a clueless moron. Oatmeal is eaten by old people mostly, beans as a secondary side dish mainly served with BBQ, French fries are hardly a staple definitely a big thing in America, so you got one out of three.

Just curious, who are these folks that feel you should raise their own cattle or grow their own food? Who on here raises cattle? Many seem to have chickens and Mendy has fish.

As for the beer, some folks prefer to avoid Leo, Chang and Singha, besides its not that cheap anymore. Few baht more can get you a better beer nowadays.
