I think it's highly unlikely that he slaughtered the chicken.
He posted a big clue under the picture:
Secret recipe of 75% breadcrumbs 20% tempura flour, 5% salt, pepper, curry powder, love.
Little bit of mustard, lot of mayo, iceberg lettuce.
I'm sure you got what he meant first time though. Well, I hope you did anyway, but I'm not entirely sure having seen some of your previous work.
Does a chicwich actually count as a hallowed burger? Personally, I think they're two separate animals.
I'm soooooo tempted to fire up the Aberdeen Angus burgers in the fridge but it's a tad late here for indigestion.
Came across this new arrival at Makro (at least new at our regional store). 90% lean / 10% fat. I did a quick google on it at the store before I picked up the pack. Looks pretty descent. Will do up a burger next week and the rest will be for Tacos.
That's too little fat for a decent burger, I reckon. Maybe a burger steak.
slap some butter on the plancher at the end to crisp and up the fat content
It was a worthy effort for sure, and a green is owed. It is also the perfect candidate to be posted in the "drunk food" thread.
The fat content is why I gave up on Foodland ground beef. It was also 10% and just too dry even cooked medium. I could get around no real beef taste, but not the fat percentage. Good to see you make your own patties, this is the only way. I will do a simple one up tonight with my Aussie ground beef. Its listed as 75/25 but when the wife commented it seemed "fatty", I reckon she was right so maybe 70/30. Simple means medium some grilled onions, cheese and a well toasted bun. I put the top of the bun on when I add the cheese and cover then reduce heat to low then turn off. Lately I have been very happy with the results.
Some days ya gotta go cheese, bacon, onion, pickles and smokehouse BBQ sauce.
