I use half a tin with a full English and empty the rest into a small pot with cling film. They last 3-4 days in the fridge that way, probably longer if it's an air tight container. I never leave them in the tin and put in the fridge, go off quicker and my mum used to shout at me for doing it.
A full tin with 6 pieces of toast used to be a mainstay for me after a day in the fields when I was younger. Nowadays, I'll have a full tin if I've walked more than 15 miles and sugar levels are low.

Who would think so much can be said about baked beans
^ I've always left the beans in the tin in the fridge. Same goes for corned beef, mackerel, SPAM, tomatoes, soup, etc etc.
I've never noticed any 'tinny' flavour but maybe I should rethink this on health grounds?

Ah, the wonders of a Scottish upbringing.
Surprised about the veg though. Did you have guests?
Give it up, fatso.
Your whiney stalking is tedious af.
Perhaps your palate is immune to the tin contamination.
you shouldn't store an opened tin or can in the fridge once opened, as "the tin or iron can dissolve into the food, giving it a metallic taste

Is it safe to put canned food in the fridge? : SBS Food
^ Thanks DW, I think that must be it.
That was a compliment, yeah?
Guests? My mates all took turns coming round to our house to eat.
We had good eating in our house, all home cooked by mum. I don’t shy away from veggies.
Proper Scottish cuisine kicks in sometimes at lunch but mostly when we leave the pub.
Could murder some crispy pancakes tho.
Lang may yer lum reek...
As is your penchant for non too subtle digs at other posters. ‘Fatso’ is the name you might have called someone you knew at primary school. The thing is, you don’t know me, and due to your snide remarks aimed at others, they can barely tolerate you.
Anyway, this is much more fun for me, and clearly annoying for you, than the stiff ignoring most people would give you.
Do carry on with your pointless irritability.
