Nice one Shutree, if you pass on the Indian spices, Worcestershire Sauce is a fantastic addition.
I’ve not had BoT for years.

Just curious... I use half a big tin or maybe even less and then stick the rest in the fridge. I can't think of any instances when I'd eat more than half a tin of beans in one sitting.
How long do you reckon you can keep an opened tin of beans in the fridge?
My mum has become pretty frugal these days and she freezes unused beans in little margarine tubs.
Have a like for the use of the word frugal.
A full tin can be daunting for a single portion. I use a full tin with two slices of toast and a couple of poached eggs. Serves two, or for the single person, it can be a nice change for a main meal as opposed to a light lunch or a snack.
No idea about calorific content. If you get enough exercise, it doesn’t matter much anyway. Plenty of roughage to keep your system moving.
You need to man up in the bean department!
I remember as a teenager I'd come home from a night out, which rarely involved food, and scoff a whole tin plus a few slices of buttered bread. Sometimes it was tinned spaghetti. Anything really.
You probably eat beans with something, which is overly complex cooking for me. For me it is beans with beans .
^ To be honest I do sometimes eat a whole tin of beans but I downplay it on here because Edmond seems to monitor my diet.
Unfairly, to be honest.
Edit. You have maintained your record Shutree but I'd still eat it.
Obviously I did not cook it sideways. That would have been hard. One day someone will tell me how to post a correctly orientated picture from my phone.
The Ayam beans in a curry sauce aren't bad. Saves faffing about with spices and stuff, especially for guys who've had a few bevvies.
Also available in small tins.
^ El Puke-0. I have to say, do you guys eat anything other than beans over bread or beans with other canned processed meat by products?
Baked beans is the food of gods, ask Captain America.
Looks like we are favouring the 'beans over cheese' method here at TD.
I'm not so sure.
It seems like Reg Dingle is undecided and has gone both ways.
A couple of Welsh lamb steaks with homemade chips and of course baked beans.
8/10
Would have been a solid 10 if I'd cooked the steaks well done...
While I mostly agree with you when it comes to food, JP, beans on toast is a classic comfort food for us Brits.
We cook our own food every week from scratch - usually a pasta dish - but I still pine for buttered toast topped with beans, melted cheese and brown sauce. My wife loves it too and she's Malaysian.
I honestly think you'd like it too if you gave it a go. You cook me one of your steaks and I'll do you cheesy beans on toast. Deal?
Can someone explain to IQ 90 that a 'solid' score is not 90.
