At Big C here they price the best cuts of KU beef (Kasetsart University, the flagship of Thai beef) at around 800 Baht a Kilo and I laugh every time I see it having been stupid enough to buy/try some once, it's borderline inedible with poor texture and flavour eating qualities. Meanwhile, Macro currently have a sale on of Australian beef and cuts like tenderloin or ribeye are about 320 Baht a Kilo.
