I have my share of disasters, same as anyone else. Always (well, nearly) enjoyed cooking, and the more you do the more intuitive it becomes particularly with timing and temperature, and getting the ingredients ready before you start lessens the potential of panic. Building up a decent selection of equipment over time undoubtable helps. My favourite kitchen equipment? The humble silicone spatula.
Indeed, lived on eggs and speg boll for my first couple of years. Put my off them for over a decade.
Ate out mostly until I learnt to cook, the rest is history.
My favourite bit of kit in the kitchen is my dry airfryer closely followed by my tefal non stick pan then the blender.

Co-incidence, M'Sahib pulled a couple of salmon pieces out of the freezer this morning, though I can't verify their wildness.....
Anyway, gonna pan fry and have with teriyaki sauce, with a side of assorted roast veg.
Onion, carrot, broccoli, and cucumber (never had roasted cucumber before, but most things taste OK when roasted).
Seasoned the salmon.
Into the pan with some baby celery.
Once the skin crisp and the flesh cooked, added some teriyaki sauce (I wanted to make my own however M'Sahib insisted I use a bottle she'd bought - no faith) and some mixed sesame seeds on top.
A healthy lunch.
PAG, that's looks great. How did the roasted cucumbers turn out?
Different cooking times, longer on the carrots tho, i tend to stagger the veg going in. Love roasted veg, always cook a load if i put the oven on, eat two days or freeze some for a quick meal.
Me fresh North Atlantic cod arrived this morning.
Breadcrumbs blendered.
May or may not be fresh north atlantic cod
Most fish is iced on board as its caught so its unlikely
Being sourced from the freezer in Big C at 20 baht a kilo is another clue.
^No he's picked it, I've put strawberry jam into a bottle labelled SALSA and just hoped nobody would notice
