DD, I've got to take issue with your picture.

While the food looks incredible, that faux Norwegian style silverware sucks in my opinion. It's all the latest rage in resto's here and I can't fooking stand using it. Give me old fashioned American knife, spoon and fork rather than an eating utensil that is like eating something on the end of a stick.

    Rant complete, thanks for listening....

Had to have one of the pasties I made this morning, which went well with a box of mixed salad M'Sahid had brought home from one of the Tops salad bar.

The caramelised onion chutney in the pasty filling really lifts the flavour.

M'Sahib grilled some marinated tuna in sesame seeds.

    with some papaya salad.

M'Sahib commanded the stove top today, and served me up a yellow noodle dish with sliced chicken and pork, with some prawns that she'd let me have from her own meal. Quite spicey black sauce, along with chopped spring onions, fresh pak chee, and lots of crispy fried chopped garlic. Very tasty.

And what's that next to what looks like a green capsicum?on the right..I've zoomed in but I'm still none the wiser. The lamb and chips smothered in gravy look great. But half a pineapple ring with a roast? Say it ain't so

It is what it is Lads.

I don’t ask questions, I just point and go with the flow.

Apart from that day about a week ago when I pointed at the soup first then averted my attention to the cutlery.

When I looked back he was holding a plate (not a bowl) of gravy.

Okay dokey. Thanks for clearing up the pineapple thingy and the onion..actually I thought the onion was a bit of squid and was having trouble getting my head around what that was also doing there. . To be honest I'm relieved it's an onion but still scratching ma head why that 0.5 pineapple was anywhere near a roast . But the question still needs to be asked did it pair well with roast lamb and chips with lashings of gravy? Asking for I friend though.( Joe wants to know

The lamb was all up one side of the tray and the fruit and veg was nicely presented up the side. It was very nice indeed.

In fact, I had more lamb this evening with a stir fried pork dish, coleslaw and some corn.

Tuna and potato salad fused with a baby leaf salad.

In Spain this is served as a tapas called "ensalad ruski"...

I had a lovely Georgian lamb kebab (kofta, basically) in the Russian bathhouse in Latvia the other day (pick out the politics from that one) while prancing around naked with my elf hat on and my willy hanging out.

I chose to stay off the beer after a solid weekend of Manchester Uniteding on the football threads and stuck to water and Coke (a cola).
