The bread was nicely toasted, so I doubt it would have gotten soggy, I think it was more of a presentation thing to make it look like there was more stuff in the middle than there was stuff in the middle.

A wet and almost wintery day here in Phuket (well, apart from being 28C). A warming bowl of homemade tomato and basil soup, with a side of a tuna mayo and tomato sandwich (homemade bread and mayo naturally....).

Sorry, but the cover of Sir David Attenborough's Sahara DVD looked less dry that pic.

Well said! The only thing that would have made the sandwich better was bacon, nice and crispy streaky bacon.

The last of the pulled pork from the batch recently made, on homemade bread buns, with homemade garlic mayo and sriracha sauce.

Nice, was it similar to the Spanish Aioli.

Love that on crispy bread as a starter, tapas style.

Indeed similar, but not quite so much garlic and made with vegetable rather than olive oil. Favourite tapas in my local bar when living in Spain was either pork or squid on the plancha with aioli.

So that's what they're calling garlic bread in Stoke these days.
