Don't know about it being 'Drunk Food', but a plate of Moo det diow with a big bowl of homemade hummus is a gift sent from god with an icy cold beer and football.
Dare say that Moo det diow + hummus will now be a beer staple.

I'd never heard of it but Google shows it to come from 'Somerset's lush green pastures', so it must be good.
In fact, around 20 miles from where I grew up.
People on this forum raved once about Red Leicester cheese so I went out and found some. It is very nice. A bit like cheddar but with a smoother consistency. Check it out.
Cheese and biscuits with a selection of Red Leicester and quality Cheddar used to be one of my favourite treats at the weekend (when I had access to it at reasonable prices).
Snubby, you should try cheese from this place if you get the chance: Cheddar Cheese, Lancashire Blue, Brie, Cave Aged Cheddar | Truckle Cheese
The Cheddar is fantastic.
Had the pleasure of trying that a awhile ago. It was fantastic. As misskit said it is very smooth.
I do not think they ship to the states but I will look for those cheeses here locally. One of them is Coastal cheddar and I posted a pic of that a page or two back. I really like that brand.
After a skinful of Leo last Friday night, while I was preparing a meal I got a nasty electric shock from my trusty Panasonic toasted sandwich maker. The shock went right up my left arm and left it numb for a few moments.
Even in my drunken state I realised this was serious so I unplugged the damn thing and fried up the toasties. They weren't great but did the job.
I'm very nervous about faulty electrical appliances so the Panasonic went straight to the brother-in-law.
My problem now is what to replace it with. I've looked on Lazada but there seems to be very little choice nowadays. Has anyone tried the Otto?
The Panasonic had served me well for a few years. Here it was in happier days...
^^ Is it worth the extra?
The cheapest Breville is nearly 5000 Baht... the Thai and Chinese ones go down to around 700 Baht.
Don't use a fork to pull up stuck toasts..
There is a huge selection of tosters from Panasonic, Philips, Electrolux, Tefal, Houseworth..
Otto would not be my first choice of brand.
This one looks fantastic:
toaster
That's a toaster, not a toasted sandwich maker.
Do you go through a few of those sandwich makers Lom?
Topper's pro tip 276:
When making a toasted sandwich...
1. Toast the bread...using a thing called a toaster.
1a. While the toast is toasting, prep your toppings. Remember, it only takes a couple of minutes for toast.
2. Put on whatever you want, my personal favorite is mayo, tomato and cheese to make a sandwich.
3. Bang it in the microwave for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until the cheese is molten hot.
4. Burn the roof of your mouth gorging on the molten hot cheese.
Works perfectly, you don't make too much of a mess and you're not fooking about with cheap sandwich makers.
Works a treat.
"I was a good student. I comprehend very well, OK, better than I think almost anybody," - President Trump comparing his legal knowledge to a Federal judge.
All this fuss, when you can just pick up the phone and order pizza.
I don't have a sandwich maker so I follow your steps 1 to 2. Then I use a toasting bag. I bought some in UK, very cheap, reusable. Pop your sandwich in the bag and the bag in the toaster for step #3.
I was sceptical about a plastic bag in the toaster. Two years later they are still in use. Modern science is a wonderful thing.
Right you are, I was not aware that people are still using such things.
I've had a few in the past and it doesn't take many sessions until the non-stick layer disappears and no matter how much you butter them you'll still get half of the sandwich cemented into the iron.
I do like Topper nowadays
In fairness to Lom, when I used to work in Brazil the locals would put sliced cheese on a piece of bread and then turn a toaster on it's side and slide it in. The stewards got well pissed off at trying to clean the gunge out of the toasters every day.
Not at 2am in Korat, you can't.
^ I sense some disdain towards toasted sandwich makers?
Personally, I can't see a better piece of equipment to make toasted sandwiches, although nearly 5000 Baht for one does seem steep when our convection oven only cost 900 Baht.
To make toast and then microwave it seems overly complicated... the light on our microwave has never worked and recently the timer has stopped going round... you have to really concentrate when microwaving something or you find a dried up blob on the plate. Plastic bags in the toaster..? I think not.
I have a skillet that comes out every six months or so, but to start using that to fry up some sandwiches in the early hours after a skinful of Leo just ain't gonna happen. It takes an age just to heat the thing up, and the missus will doubtless wash it up while I get a rare lie-in. I've just got it out tonight, the first time since last July, and I see it has gone a bit rusty.
I'm gonna stick with a toasted sandwich maker.
