A bit juicy for my liking tbh, preferred the well done option!

Not drunk (too fucking old to deal with hangovers any more) but still hungry after a good few beers and a salad wasn't going to sort that out so I grabbed a roast lamb pie and sausage roll on the way home. Simply sublime.

Did you grab any of the home made beetroot? Sign on the right said it's only 120 baht. Bargain

^^ HW, mmaybe you could try an apricot pie next time and report back? I seem to remember I have a bag of frozen apricots in the freezer at home and I've been wondering what to do with rhem. A pie could go nicely with some hot custard.

No mate, I already have bottles of Heinz sliced and baby beetroot in the fridge and they'll do me. You can beat an egg...

Certainly a nice presentation and I hope we can replicate what Tinnies have created.

It also would be nice to sell pies at 150 Baht each.

150? The roast lamb pie is 195 now but to be fair, the price of lamb in supermarkets here (along with pretty much everything else that's imported!) has gone up quite a lot in the last few months. He's got plain and curried sea scallop mornay pies that are in the 220 Baht range as well, nobody ever said the pies there are cheap but nobody can name a comparable pie shop with similar quality products anywhere in Thailand either!

Anyways, I'm glad they're there and so close to home for when the hankering for an Aussie pie and sauce kicks in

^I've got an oven mate, but buying pies to heat up at home makes no sense when a pie shop like that is just around the corner from home with fresh baked products in the window! They do take-out pies to be heated up later too but again, it'd make no sense for me to buy them.

^Never had one to be able to say. I've had the scallop mornay pie before and it was nice but for me, pies are about beef or lamb! Scallops are pricey here, but the guy who owns Tinnies made his name making that pie at the shop he owned in Tasmania.

You've got to admire headworx's never ending quest to scour the streets of Thailand in order to bring us the finest local dishes in the land.

Do they play soft rock in the pie shop too?

^^Well I'm in Thailand kicked back and really enjoying life at this point of time while you're in butt-fuck Egypt eeking out a pitiful existence teaching brain-dead towel heads English and eating kebabs 7 times a week. That's a fair trade CT, we both got exactly what we deserve I guess

^It gets better! This fucking weapon is having a shot at me because, heaven forbid, I enjoy soft rock and classic 80's music. Meanwhile, and you'd really need to have spent time in butt-fuck Cairo to appreciate this, he's having his ears raped 5 times a day 7 days a week by the Allah Snack-Bar call to prayer coming from multiple speakers the Rolling Stones could tour with that are all out of time with each other and starting before the sun comes up today, tomorrow, and for the rest of his time in that absolute fucking shithole .

Anyway, no take away for me- my place is out near Mabprachan. Proper sit down, w/mash, peas & gravy. I might wince a bit at the price, but gotta be done. For home supplies, good old Aye's pies is my local choice.

^No I meant the sit down place you go to, or has LT got a restaurant open somewhere now?

I've had the pie/mash at Outback a few weeks ago, and thought it was tasty.

Look at double denim, all triggered.

You've gotta be some kind of retard to repeatedly have a go at someone about their job when the person in question actually chose that job, enjoys it, and could quite literally up sticks tomorrow and move absolute anywhere in the world.

You really do need some new material, you wannabe bogan bellend.
