Why are SE/E Asian desserts so shit when the rest of the food is usually very good?
I was at a meal the other night and I thought they'd sacked the chef after the main course.
Made walnut brownies this morning.
Finally an actual dessert and not a store bought Walls ice-cream.

Chitty's Pink Lady Apple Crumble...
Oven proof dish225g s fruit e.g. apples . Stewed or chopped.150g flour 75g butter75g sugar3 tablespoons porridge oatsMethodTurn oven on to Gas4/180°C.Collect equipment.Put flour into mixing bowl and add butter.Cut butter into small pieces.Rub the butter into the flour using fingertips.Stir in the sugar and oats, mix with a table knife.Place the fruit in the dish. Spoon the topping over the apples in an even layer.Bake for 20mins in total.
Bish up the Pink Ladys..
Sprinkle caster sugar on top..
Mix up the flour, sugar, butter and oats..
Bash the crumbly mixture down on top of the apples..
Sprinkle a few oats on top and bosh it into the oven till golden brown..
Bish, bash, bosh!
Whipped cream or custard, that is the question..
