Is that a slice of tasty cheese I spy under the beans? A master touch. Bravo.

Now I'm no culinary wizard, but I reckon there's white wine in there somewhere and it was definitely roasted in a balsamic fanny batter.

Can't beat beans on cheese on toast. With HP sauce on top.

It would have to be UK fanny batter. Wouldn't fancy arse batter.... Just doesn't sound nice.

Unless you try two rashers of English bacon on toast with the beans poured on top crowned with a nicely done egg and the whole covered with melted cheddar cheese, then a dollop of HP sauce.

If you are going to use a tin of baked beans, I reckon cook them for a long time tapping your spoon on the base to break some up, release the starch to make the sauce thicker. Add pepper, and I would even advocate a dollop of tommy k to enrich it a bit. If microwaving, I cook them on full for 5 minutes, stir, another 2 mins and then rest for 5 prior to serving.
