Steak and Parsnips
Steak and Parsnips
God damn, and I did see parsnips in Rim Ping Mee Chok, and they made me think of my dad he loved them things and the only way I eat em is caramelized
A single parsnip in Villa last week was 185 Baht which is approx 3.75 UK Pounds. It was also quite skinny. I would have needed at least 6 of them at that size to cook this recipe. Any other source of parsnips in Bangkok would be appreciated.
I had not had a beef steak in a over a year and went to BKK for my first NON O retirement extension, and a Thai friend of ours took us to a steak dinner at SeaCon plaza? SIZZLER which I always passed up at home, well anyway they had a 16 oz. T Bone, I had it and it was "knock yer dick in the dirt" good, I have not been back there in 7 years but have heard that Chok Chai steak house is very good, so if I am ever in BKK again I will try that, other than that I have never eaten in BKK except in the dining rooms of the hptels we have stayrd at, and I will not ever eat anywhere else.
But with a supply I have of the most teriffic beef this side of K.C.Kansas, I only eat at home, but the selection of Parsnips in Rim Ping was very good and even tho I don't really care for them I damn near did buy some in memory of Dad and make a Beef Stew as he would not make a stew without them nasty bastards.
