The food at the Camel Bar and Rumors is still quite good. There are 3 or 4 new bars opened across the street from the old strip. Personally I prefer Ban Chang to Pattaya, less selection but since it's mostly expats there and the businesses and girls want repeat business, you get treated much better.

If you are moving to that area and want to save a bunch of money, rent a house in the Plutaluang area of Sattahip, instead of Ban Chang. It's just 5 kilometers up the road, but half the price.

I have a house in Payoon Beach and it's like living on the moon....without a car I'm stuck...I did buy a motorbike so now I can make the trip to Lotus... But I really need a car for quick trip to Pattaya.....Anyone know where you can buy a decent bed in Ban Chang? I'm 6' 5" and most of the beds I have seen a shorter then American beds...

Go to Rayong for a decent bed. SB Furniture quality is pretty good, but not cheap.

Hey neighbor Ban Chang Banger, Greetings. Like you, I'm on the South (Gulf) side of 3 (Suk) in Ban Chang. Still very affordable with a fair amount of housing construction going on. kmart has it right about bedroom furniture not being cheap... there are several locations on Suk on the way to Rayong where bedroom furniture can be purchased. or consider having a bed made by a local carpenter. The issue I guess though is the mattress. likewise, not inexpensive. drop me a PM when your in town again, can discuss options.

you could do what we did

buy a nice old bed, good head and foot boards

get the stretchers made up to the length you want

ours is in teak, but any wood can do - it cost about B3000 to do it all including cleaning up the old wood

as for the matress, those also can be made to whatever size you want
    I have reported your post
