A Nong Nooch jolly jaunt

I decided to test the old banger out and give it a run out to Nong Nooch... She was dead happy at the news so we set off together in the Beetle...

Nong Nooch is about 15 kilometers out of Pattaya on Sukhumvit Road, towards Rayong. I was pretty chuffed that the car actually made it that far..


We got there a bit late in the day due to being unable to get out of bed before 2pm but still managed to squeeze in a few activities....

Elephant rides... Aren’t they great?.. 800 baht for 20 minutes and the obligatory tip to the ‘driver’ for jumping off and taking photos...


It's a bit uncomfortable really, but 'Speccy Brace Face' said all the rocking about made her feel a bit frisky...



We jumped off the elephant and straight onto mountain bikes for the short ride out to Stonehenge...



Then it was time to feed the goat herd... 20 baht to get attacked by rabid starving goats....




We caught about 5 minutes each of the cultural show and elephant show, which was enough as it was packed with the all the coach loads from Korea and China or wherever these crazy people come from...

I would try to get there earlier next time and have a leisurely day around the place... They have accomodation also - about 3000 baht for the night for a big old Thai style stilt house set in amongst the gardens...

And here is a monkey... Not a happy monkey because they have him chained up... Poor old bugger... Lets take a picture anyway...



Nong Nooch... If you haven't seen it then just do it... Take a fine lady from Pattaya... They love all the plants and animals and things....Because most of them are from the jungle themselves..

Cheers... not too easy to get going in the mornings, but once warmed up she rides like a dream...

Oo er.... Funny thing is, when I jumped down into the 'mahood' (driver) position and straddled the beasts neck I started to feel a bit frisky myself...

Nong Nooch is a must do when in Pattaya. Enjoyed the cultural show and elephant show.

been there also was a good day out, and yea the gardens are really awesome,a lotta work in maintaing,and if i recall right it pissed down on the way back to patters,thanks mate i forgot the name of the place
