I will be living in a walled garden with one side open to a river in a semi jungle environment. I have 2 children, one is young. I expect to see snakes and would prefer not to kill them but I am scared for the younger one especially after seeing how close this one came. He is a boy and could have easily turned and run over the snake which could have provoked a bite. Boys get into things and under things.
If you scare a snake off will it not return for whatever it came for in the first place. I have no experience and would not try to handle a poisonus snake to remove it farther from my land.
How could I live if a snake I scared away returned and bit my son... it may be a long shot but is it worth the risk?
