Thanks NR and that is exactly what I thought!

No problem taking them orally as she devours anything in sight and as a matter of fact I have never seen a dog so ravenous. She doesn't have worms but boy can she eat.

    I'll pick some up tomorrow.

My 6 month old cat is about to give birth any day now. Hopefully it's not a big litter and we will get her fixed shortly after. We were about to do it and then noticed she was pregnant. Babies having babies.

How the hell do you train a cat to do that? Very impressive.

Sorry for the harsh comments, I just don't like cats. When I was a child, I had to clean up after my Mom's 2 cats. One of the cats had a skin problem and would bite its tale until it bled and put blood all over the bathroom she kept them in and I had to clean up the mess. As an adult, I get more pissed off with people that let THEIR cats just roam around freely, spraying, shitting and making all kinds of noise when it's their damn pet but they have no consideration for their neighbors.

Nice photo. My spayed cat regularly uses the drain in the spare bathroom floor or even the sink drain if she can not get out of the house into the field; I first saw her by chance. One morning, while I was shaving, I caught her reflection in the mirror using the bathtub drain. She would only urinate in these locales. From then on I regularly flush the drains and sanitize the sinks etc.

I have 2 that will use the toilet.

    I'm serious.

They don't need to unless i forget to let them out at night, but it's useful when i do.

That's no excuse. Cats are meant to roam. If I had a place for mine to roam safetly outisde then I would do so. Don't hate all cats, they aren't all the same.

Did the missus cut them off?

My cat ran up the stairs and almost jumped over the balcony this morning. He kept me up all night from 4-6am, and then woke me up at 9am to be fed. Hyper boy he is. Is it normal for cats to want to eat so much? I feed him a bowl of food a day and often a bit of wet food. He's still hungry.

    be kind.

    get him fixed.

the tiredness afterwards is only the effect of the anaesthetic.
they are right as rain in the morning.

I took mine before he was six months old and was told to come back a few months later. He was a bit groggy afterwards but not for long. He never sprayed, but still goes out. He is now a strapping 8 year old soft lump who hates snow.

    Great advice.

The best thing for yourself and the environment is to get your pussy cut as soon as possible. I don't mind cats at all (my last died recently at 22years old) but I do now realise what a bloody headache they can be. If you wish to be responsible, desexing is the only option. There is nothing worse than seeing stray starving animals in the sois. Of course this is not an issue for you in the wilds of Seoul or Bangkok where you keep your pussy indoors. The main problem for a cat keeping flat dweller is arriving home after a long day at the salt mines to be greeted by the sour smell of cat urine in the kitty litter. Maybe you could teach the cat to hang it's bum over the balcony?
In places where cats are allowed to breed without control, the effect on wildlife is often CATastophic, and here in Australia they are responsible for the exitinction of many species.
Don't worry about the cat, they are bloody tough. Our vet reckons they are made of rubber. He told me this after I ran over our cat with the 4WD, the same one which died 19 years later. A simple cut around the nut area won't phase it at all.

Aww is that your cat in your avatar? How sweet!! I can't imagine a cat liking snow too much. Mine hates water. Period. Ever try to bath a cat? Hell!!

Best thing to do for a cat is while they are still in the litter with the mama cat is put her and all the kittens in a gunny sack with a cement block, tie the top shut with wire and drop it all off the end of a pier or a bridge into the drink,, no more problems with that bunch.

But always keep a sack and at least 1/2 a cement block handy in case of emergencys.

I like people that think like you, I used to get 15 to 25 cents from Sears or Sol Rubin fur buyers for housecat hides when I trapped as a kid, and after that while bird hunting with a shotgun I managed to usually get a dozen or so during a season.
