    Snake ID please

Usually I'm pretty good with these but I'm a bit stumped on this one.

Anyway it crawled into my mates room (in BKK) about an hour ago and he would like to know whether he bravely dealt with a venomous snake or acted like a girl around a harmless one.

ps. How do I upload pics?

You might be onto something there, I know the types you are talking about, but not sure which ones are native to Thailand.

    OP:

It could be a giant worm.

Perhaps you should call animal control.

I think it might be a Keeled Rat snake. Sorry, don't have my field guide with me.

going by the colour the closest is sunbeam snake harmless, not sure about the eyes though could be blind and why it's in your room.

These slither about after the rain on my complex.

    I just step over them.

    Common enough.

I think Sunbeam Snake is the right answer, thanks for that.

Something as cheerful sounding as that can't be venomous then, surely?

Unless the "sunbeam" refers to the blinding pain after having been bitten
