Suprising as it may seem elephants, even Thai elephants are one of the most intelligent creatures on this planet, in Thailand iq wise they are slightly more intelligent than your average Lao Khao addicted Isaan peasant farmer, and a bit dumber than your average Bangkok office worker, but are the rumours true that elephants will be taking jobs from these low iq Isaan peasants?

At Nong Nooch Gardens just outside Pattaya we visited the secret elephant training ground, here we took photographic evidence of elephants being trained as Tuk Tuk drivers, in a drive to rid Bangkok of alchoholic Isaan Tuk Tuk drivers and their scams it has been agreed that elephants will be taking over their jobs, the ex Tuk Tuk drivers will be sent to re-hab camps to learn new skills such as floor sweeping and dusting things.

So, elephants as Tuk Tuk drivers, personally I think it would be a great idea and would be a fantastic tourist draw for Bangkok, although we may lose the, "I take you to jewelry shop" scam we may gain, "I take you to fruit store" scam, (which of course would be a much more interesting talking point than being scammed by some Isaan scumbag).
