    Daft!

I just bought a bottle of Remy VSOP and a couple of nice brandy snifters.
Smooth stuff with a nice little bite to the nose. Even though I don't smoke I'm tempted to pick up a Cohiba or a monte cristo for fun.

^ I've cut down on the booze if you must know KW

posting whilst drunk is not such a good hobby -dread to think what some of my deleted posts were like in the cold light of day.

as for welfare cheques - I don't even sign on

thought a spot of work permit-less Tefl might be a good move

I was lucky enough to try a Remy Martin Louis XIII.Now this sruff comes in a crystal decanter and is normally over the top price wise.thank christ I wasn't paying!!

To say I enjoyed it would be an understatment!!Unreal.
NEVER buy this stuff in ANY restaurant. When I was growing up as a poor student I busted tables at many a fine establishment that sold this brand @ £50 - 25ml or £1500 for the bottle. Yes the decanter's nice & so's the beautiful oak display case it comes in but I promise you the good stuff has already been poured into a used lemonade bottle & taken home (or supped after time while bitching about the night's customers) by the manager/waiter/kitchen/cleaner - whoever got the opportunity first, always on the first day the bottle came in. Usually it's topped back up with Remy XO (Happy Shopper Value brand would be taking the piss - & it wasn't ours anyway).

This happens absolutely everywhere. The best intentions of the MD of the Marriot or a top 5* restaurant go to pot when the staff spot an opportunity for some usually unaffordable privilege or the manage wants to cook his figures.

Sold maybe ten bottles a year. Only ever bought five. And we enjoyed every one.

    You've been warned.

can't say I'd ever even buy this stuff in a bar/pub either - I only really like the good stuff when I'm at home

down the pub it's usually just blended whisky or bourbon for me
