I've just acquired a quantity of this:
Hmmm..... lovely.
Unfortunately, the quantity is limited so I'll be drinking it all myself

How much did you pay, if I can ask?
And where did you buy?
For some time, they were selling it in Carrefour for baht 100/bottle.
It was a gift. Wasn't bought locally, that I know.
I can't resist posting a picture of my father taken last August, he is 81.
If Leffe kills, it sure kills slowly...
Go to the Cactus Club in Soi Kowboy. They have (as of 6 months ago) a very nice selection of Belgium brews. Bit pricey, but sap, sap.
^He looks pretty happy. Suppose I would be too with a fist fulla Leffe.
^^
(Just opened another bottle )
^^So that is where cactus club is....
Somehow they have got my e-mail and added me to their mailing list. I keep getting invites for all types of dodgy events from some guy called John.
Also on Cowboy, Baraka and, just recently, Midnite serve Belgian beer now. As does Soi 8 pub and Det 5 (both Sukhumvit Soi 8) - seems a bit of a Belgian beer boom is on. And long may it continue.
Villa also stocks Leffe and many other Belgian Beers, and Food By Phone delivers it (reasonably priced too).
I bought it in Carrefour.Originally Posted by Gerbil

I went to a place could Hobs in thanglor near soi 16 great beer, I tried a few then stuck with the Tripel karmeliet which has a light fruity flavor and a lot of kick at 8.4% alchol.
Bit rich at 3800 baht a carton but very nice beer
Carrefour and TESCO carry them now, it's about 135THB a bottle, cheap
nice beer but a bit strong,

Bangkok's Independent Newspaper
The ThongLor Beer Garden is a bit miserable though and definitely overpriced
a better place for good import is that German Restaurant Oito something on Soi 22 I believe,
I enjoy the odd trip or two to HOBS.....there's another one I like, but i always drink too much of it and can never remember the name. Gets served in an earthenwear goblet....Hic
Last thing I heard was that 'Cactus John',of Cactus Club, was stocking a wide range of Belgian Beers, and was happy to sell mixed cases of the stuff.
Dinner at a Belgium friends house the other evening. HAd some Belgium beer. Actually btwn the 2 of use we went through about 10 or 12 bottles. It wasn't Leffe and don't know the brand name. It was only 4.6 % alc or something like that.
If you like belgium beers, there is a great selection in the Number 1 bar in Chiang Mai.
I don't like the place (boss) very much but the choice of begium beers is the best I've seen in the town. Not cheap though.
^
Also in Pattaya at the Garden Beer Bar
