Nice thread, but I think I'll stick to beer. Lao khao is not something humans should ingest.

In keeping with the spirit of the thread let me present, Golden Knight, this premium blended spirit is imported from the Phillipines and at 175baht a bottle is very easy going on the wallet, although, remembering it is only 35 percent proof you will need a bottle or 2 to get a buzz on, but a very smooth palatable whisky, I highly recommend it.
Next I shall be telling you about ther merits of Master Blend.
Oh look, it comes out the same colour as it goes in
Master Blend form Seagrames is one of Thailands greatest imports, at 195baht a bottle it is also real cheap, it isn't as smooth as Golden Knight but does come in an easy to refil bottle, it is a combination of some of the worlds finest whiskys and grain and other shite, I certainly would recommend this one to take home with you.
Although again at a low 35 percent proof you may need a couple of bottles, or, just do as i do and refil that bugger.
^ class.
Tell me what other forums in the world has any where near the class or content td has
My lady is over from Taiwan at the moment and Taiwanese ( Hakka) recipies all seem to need a dash of rice wine in them.
She buys Lao Khao uses a splash of it and insists I finish it up.
40% proof and 50% - 50% with Sprite its ok !
When she goes back every time she takes a few bottles as her mum reckons it is smoother than the Taiwanese variety !!!
Oh Shit !!!
Am I being thick or are you telling us that you just piss in the bottle and drink it again?Originally Posted by dirtydog

I can hear the shouts of lets get back onto Thai beer, so let me add my review of Chang Beer, now this stuff when chilled down is a damn good drop of stuff, the price is affordable for TEFLers to have a few in between classes at 35baht a big bottle, although they will still need those mints to hide the smell, it also makes a damn fine breakfast for Australians, all in all a value for money nice beer to drink.
Oh to be a fly on the wall when your wife caught you doing that.
Or when she saw you head into the toilet with a bottle of beer and a camera.
I have a big building memock and lots of bathrooms, she aint gonna catch me yet
Sheesh, rich builders
And now for the real stuff.
Lao Khao also called Khao Dtom or Lao Dtern.
They is no tax on this stuff as it is illegal, it is also known as Teflers Tipple
It is 50 proof and packs a real punch.
Scientifically proven to accelerate cerosis of the liver threefold.
Purchased by the bag for 10 baht or in 5 litres plastic bottles for special occasions.
Available under the counter in every village.
^ Thetters if you dip a toothbrush in a drop of that Lao cow it will clean up your grouting a treat1

I tried that once but the next day I got diarrhea

Toilet paper in the bathroom. Are you insane?
A Lao-Thom review was going to be the (predictable) climax of my thread.
