Wat Phra Phutthabat

Saraburi

Wat Phra Phutthabat is in Tambon Khun Khlong, it houses the Lord Buddha’s Footprint, every year around January to February the locals pay homage to it, and thats about as exciting as Saraburi gets.



Other Temples in Saraburi include Wat Phra Phutthachai which is located at the base of Khao Pathawi, near Saraburi, Thailand. The mountain-top temple is gorgeous and the views from the top are fabulous. The steps are sometimes steep and tall, but the climb up is well worth the effort. There is a silhouette of the Buddha in the rock formation, as well as prehistoric painted animals, hands, the Buddha, and other sacred symbols. The monkeys are friendly here and they are everywhere.
