Additional info on the "farming" question. Apparently rice was farmed there on a consistent basis for many generations. The layers of remains and artifacts do give some time lines along with sediment layers etc. This indicates a yearly or periodic farming of rice.

The conclusion is it is the oldest (possibly challenged by the site in China) continuous farming known.

Wish I was an expert, it is a challenging field of study.

we took 2 pieces of Ban Chiang pottery to the antique road show recently and the expert said they were authentic Ban Chiang from 800 to 1200 BC. Does anyone know how much they are worth?
or where we could possibly sell them?

    we live in the US.
