Not sure why it took me so long to find this. I spent a few days in Udon Thani a few years ago, with a busted camera. Nice to see the town again. Great report Props and some very good pictures. Well done.

Nice pics sir, one of my current moles is from Nong Khai, the river really has some spirit to it.
Thanks for the compliments
This was an excellant photo journey, I felt as if I was along for the ride.
Very informative.
Thank you for the information and the great photos, I can see you had a great time.
Cool.
Did you get anywhere near Nong Wua So, an ex of mine came from there.
I would like to go there someday and have a look around.
I'd sure stay in that hotel, any others nearby
My girl is from Nong Wua So...nice little area there. Lot's of nice farmland and interesting roads to explore, and it's reasonably close to Udon City (15-20 minutes). There's a cool little Dinosaur museum nearby as well that not many people really know about, has a big motorized Tyranosaurus Rex to boot! Pretty friendly people, too
Some nice photos Sir..
good stuff props
im of to udon thani tomorrow for a couple of nights, there is a big ASEM summit going on in vientiane at the moment and cops and military police on every corner, locals have been told to be of the street by 10 pm tuk tuk,s beggers and whores have also been rounded up, so the delagates dont have to deal with the riffraff, im a grubby miner so im probably in the riffraff category, i wont take it personal though, as its always nice to slip over to udon and have a leo and a natter with the lads, first point of call is nutty park and a bevvy with one of the peters in the cavern , next it,s of to the sport bar for some serious swirling , usually stay at the charoen because its got a pool for the nippers , last time though stayed at a new gaff that i cant remember the name of now, next to the irish clock, Her indoors is coming so i dont get a travelling companion , great pics
Cheers
I never saw this thread the first time around and I'm glad it was bumped. I felt very sad and shocked to see the RIP under Propagator's name. His last post on this thread is from March 2008. I had no idea he had passed away. Very sad but nice to see his quality thread back up.
strewth
thanks for enlightening me natalie8, didnt take note of the posting date
RIP props
First time I actually see police caring about seat belts.
I believe this was the last time we saw Props, he took my daughters and myself out to the night market. A very generous and considerate man, great to have a few beers with, which happened on his annual trips here.
RIP Propagator.
There can’t be good living where there is not good drinking
Thanks for that, peterpan.
