Still got some leave, so thinking of making a trip on over.
What covid restrictions remain, if any? I know I have to show proof of vaccination, no issue there. I was just curious about how is everyday life? Everything open? Masks needed outside?

No restrictions to get in at all other than showing you are vaxed. You will have to wear a mask most everywhere. It is still rainy season but no big deal. A great time to come. My daughter arrives first week of September.
I doubt you will see many people masked up down on the islands. It is not the law to wear a mask outside where there are people but most Thai's still do.
Weed is now legal and is even sold in Big C. Lots of new weed shops in every town selling openly.
No need to wear a mask outside, but most Thais still do. Everything is open.
Some lovely torrential rains for 30 minutes every few days. Nice blue skies and sunshine otherwise.
Look at AO the ol' matchmaker.
Yes. Great time for a trip to Thailand…if you like rain!
Before I actually buy the flight. Is visa exemption still a thing for Brits? Or do I need to get a 60 day visa before arrival. I'm only planning on staying 14 days
Visa Exempt still applicable. Being at what is the low point in a very low season, coupled with weather which has been poor, means your choice of places to visit need to be as flexible as possible, i.e. don't book more than one or two nights accommodation from arrival. Accommodation is easily obtained with discounts the norm.
Allegedly, being sold at our local markets. Both plants and ready for smoking/sprinkling on snacks.
SOP in Trat province.
The speedboat trip to Ko Mak can be even more exciting at this time of year.
Early rise, as the farmers do, to sample the local beaches.
Retire for an afternoon "siesta" and enjoy an early evening meal.

A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
Stop stealing pictures off the internet.

Cheers for all the info folks. Arrive tomorrow, have not been in LOS for a few years so looking forward to catching up with friends and getting some beach time in-whatever the weather!
Been back in BKK for a couple of days, obviously quite bit has changed since the pandemic and the last time I was there. Bars are more lively than I thought they would be and masks outside don't seem to be a thing. I'm happy to be back in the old place! Hua Hin bound on Sunday, party in town tomorrow. Been thinking a lot about moving back to Thailand for good.
^ You've banked some money in the last few years. Buy yerself a condo, get an international school job or employment in another sector, think you've sorted out yer future pension situation back home. You'd be doing well for a single bachelor in his 30's.
^ I thought you got out of the condo market Lulu

Only when Mandaloopy buys his one
Well I had a decent vacation and kinda a bit blue it's over tbh. Most things were open, although curiously a lot of hotel restaurants in Jomtien were not. Lack of customers I guess. Better check for bags for what is legal in Thailand but absolutely not legal in Mongolia 555. Back to work on Monday and I have to say I am a little concerned they have only started recruiting as of two days ago. Anyone wanna come to Mongolia ?
Some pics, I didn't do much, just chilled and caught up with friends.
Will be back for Christmas
Only started recruiting? For September?
