I wonder if this place with Euro girls get enough influx of customers. I mean who would come to LOS to fook Euro girls.

Happy is good, but it's really packed - even at 2 am I've found it difficult to find a good seat. One gogo that's really good is Windmill by the VIP massage place -- they actually serve you a proper big draft beer, and sometimes have 2 for 1 during happy hour (if you can convince one of the girls outside to give you a coupon).

Also, just so you know, that Europeon bar has a cover charge -- 200 for gents and 400 for ladies you bring in.

I find this street to be one of the most disturbing parts of Thailand for me... I don't much like the gay areas there, either. I guess I'm not much of a fan of Pattaya.

Dont judge it on the nightlife IJWT, trust me I can show you how to go to Pattaya with a friend and have a heck of a nice time.

Loads of Russki tourist groups are being shovelled into hotels in Pattaya - a bit like the Korean tour buses et al. They don't know no better and think it's the real holiday deal.
And talking to a few of them, they feckin love it. Basically people want to be buying condos in the town cos once the rest of the Russkis cotton on and start flogging the family Lada a feeding frenzy on condos will begin...

As for the Russian go-go dancers in the Russian place, I was told by a few folks that they made a deal with the Thais that the Russkie women wouldn't go with customers, because they'd be taking jobs from locals. (Makes sense, but I'm not 100% on it.) I assume they go with people anyway, freelancing in the out-of-site areas.

Yes, more and more Russkies have been going to Pattaya in the last few years.

As tourists, fine.

But I hope they don't buy condos and stay long-term, for my selfish reasons.

And, note that some of the Russians that go there, with girlfriends on holiday, are not necesarrily real businessmen, but bad people (gangsters).

I've seen that first hand.

The beach is a piece of shit. It's very very small, and covered with umbrellas. Jomtien is a bit nicer, but it's still really small - only a few metres wide. Yuck.

Walking street; a combination of carnival and tenderloin all rolled into one. I love it for people watching and when the amusement begins to wane there are always the bars. From dark & dank dives to the bright lights and thump of techno (trance?) and writhing brown bodies. Man, Walking Wtreet has a bit of everything for everyone.
Not enough fire-breathing drwaves jugglin' razor sharp swords though.

For those who have never seen Walking Street FLB used to have a video that you could download (don't know whether it is still available as my work firewall blocks access) The video is well made and captures the mood of the place excellently.

Are they still doing the show in Living Dolls where the girls use baby oil and milk?

Hearing that from my brother was just shocking because I like to think he keeps away from that scene and he is all innocent.
