You can see the owner cares, look at how clean the place is.
There's a place we go to regularly; a noodle shop which has now moved from the old teak shophouse but the family are chinese and the husband makes his own pork broth for the noodles (not the shite powder a lot use), been doing it 45 years and he's got a permanent bent back from all the constant heavy pots he's handled over the years - son and daughter through uni and they are really proud but of course both work in the shop. They also make their own crispy wontons which we buy and they are the best i've had - part of me feels a little sad that the siblings can't/won't get a job using their degrees and part of me is happy that a quality resto will continue for another generation - not easy work and some fade away....
