@Luigi - my time in Bkk was very short, just a pit stop. Spent more time in CM - went to Wat Doi Suthep, Huay Keow & Bua Tong Waterfalls, and San Kampaeng Hot Springs. My room was near the Chang Puak gate & the waiting station for the red songtaws to Doi Suthep. There was also a night market nearby, so we didn't lack for food choices. I was also with other people, so had other opinions & choices to consider.

I can understand why ppl like Chiang Mai (or the north in general) - mountains, scenic views, slower pace of life. People seemed kinder too. It wasn't as hectic as Bkk.

Though I did meet up briefly with Aging One at Don Muang airport, on my flight back to Bkk - very nice guy. He was kind enough to feed me.
