The night we hit the hippie pub the (good) Filipino band played 'Price tag' 3 times, as request from a tasty Swedish bird.
At 1am, the singer of the band left with her on the back of his bike.

Punty's got his mind right, good man! i'll toast the happy couple with a pint...
It was touch and go for a while there with the likes of Lulu who should be on mongeraddicts egging you on, then ditching you when it all went Pete Tong.
I too wish them, and everybody else well.

I'll raise my cup of coffee to you, Punty. Thanks for the pics and good to see that all's well with you and ms russkie.
Beaches and sand ... Tis a distant memory now in the city
Oh well
Where shall I go next month ? Koh Mak or Koh Kood
Great pics..so now SP focus on 1 girl? ...
Mak is a strange island to rate. The island itself really is a bit shit truthfully, if its state five years ago is still any indication. Mud and dirt interior, beaches ok at best, places to stay are few, not so great, and overpriced. On the other hand, Emerald Cave is absolutely stunning and is probably the most beautiful thing I have seen in Thailand. A beach inside a giant volcano where you swim through and around Pink Floydee swirling colors, followed by a blind swim in pitch black, followed by exiting on a beach inside a giant volcano-like structure. Its worth seeing and I'm glad I went. I actually almost died in the cave on the way out (Hint: Bring a flashlight and take a sharp left on your way out. They won't tell you shit).
2 nights max though, because Emerald Cave is the only thing there is on Muk. Its probably worth it.
Ko Kood is nice also
Oh wait shit I was thinking of Ko Muk. Don't expect fairytale caves on Ko Mak, that's for damn sure.
Ko Mak is nice though actually. Also.
Cars. Do you need to take a car on to the island or is it easy to get to ones resort via other means. If not where to leave the car on the mainland? Thank you. Very interesting thread. Any resort recommendations other than the one in the thread?
^
Take your car for sure, it is quite a big island and ya need a car to really get into it.
Cheap and easy to transport over.
Songteows are constantly going along from the ferry terminal to Bang Bao at the far end.
Bringing yer bike would be best though.

Nice to have a car to transport all ya stuff in Lu-Lu especially if ya packin a Hand Bag.
Goin Solo a bike would be OK.
Of course, was just answering his question.
Yup, endless stream of songteows.
But avin' your own wheels is obviously nicer.
EMT alert! Should be a fair to above average biker. That road in has claimed many souls.
Nice pics. Looks like a nice trip. Always harbored fond feelings for Chang. Probably my favorite island, although it's been a while since I've been.
Take the car on the ferry with you. You want a 4x4 ideally on there, those hills are friggin steep, with some nasty bends. I wouldnt advise walking down the South, theres no pavement.
Paddy Palms resort near White Sands beach is tailor made for you with your family Prag. They have one 2 bedroomed family suite and its only about 1900 a night.i got that recommendation from Iceman and BLD. Its got a big car park too.

It has a nice balcony to take in the mountain view whilst smoking a fag on the balcony.
More here on my family trip there...
https://teakdoor.com/thailands-travel...elephants.html (Koh Chang- The isle of cats and dogs and elephants)
The bloke in the pic looks like he's suffering from the Changover from hell.
With those extra large rizlas , i reckon so
Are my eyes playing up, or are they Teakdoor boxers you are wearing?
I thought they would say CK or Armani, but sure it says Teakdoor on the band.
Bogon tip #395 - Buy a black pair in a bigger size next time.
