Cool Hand Luke
Overpage ^ ^ ... I've never flown the A380, we have the Dreamliner servicing our route.
Seen them take off and land heaps though.
What was the big bird like?
Nice shirt BTW ...
Good flight! Back to Manchester...my condolences
Flew A380 last feb, economy class is just seats and seats...no horizon.
They are crap.
Sproglette asked 'Wot's dat?' moments before pushing the USB port through her media control panel which took out the power to the entire row of seats for the entire flight.
Not my proudest moment.
The Chardonnay went down okay though, not sure why Flouncy went for the apple juice instead of alcohol.
A380 is stunning.......if you're in business/first class
Otherwise it's just another plane journey. I've never chosen an airline because of their fleet. To me it's just jumbo jets for international and smaller planes for domestic.
Its big enough you can actually walk around and there are a lot more restrooms. I used to enjoy the 747, but now the 380 is first choice. The Dreamliner configured right in economy is close though.Originally Posted by DJ Pat
Smooth, hardly noticed any turbulence.Originally Posted by David48atTD
It was a brand new plane as everything was in pristine condition apart from the stewardesses They kept the drinks flowing with large measures, sure they were trying to knock me out and make me sleep.
A souvenir from the Koh San Road at 250 baht! They wanted 400 baht at first.Originally Posted by David48atTD

Travelling with children is not easy at the best of times, you need eyes in the back of your head always thinking 5 steps ahead. The main problem on our trip was insect bites, not the mossies, those tiny fooking ants that creep into bed and devour the poor things,my daughter awoke one morning with about a 100 bites on her body. My eldest got bit by a spider the first night and his hand doubled in size. Luckily i packed antihistamines, sudacreme and the kitchen sink to be on the safe side.My youngest showed me a giant Topaz gem stone that fell off the wall and into his pocket at a temple, i quickly gave it to the nearest horrified monk and left quickly smiling and waing.Originally Posted by Luigi
I shouldn't let that experience put you off flying in an A380.
My kids were using the in flight entertainment for most of the flights watching the latest movies and playing games, which left me free to enjoy the complimentary bar and have a stagger(exercise) around every hour to the toilet.
