I don't remember seeing that geezer with the itchy back last week
My back didn't itch at all during my 22 day stay

That was him after his trek to the BTS
^Maybe he should use a better brand of washing powder

It comes with daily cleaning, linen change, fridge, microwave, cable TV, free wifi and theyre not small rooms. It's old but for the price its worth it as a base to keep most of your stuff while you travel around. Or treat yourself to nice hotels of a weekend.
600 baht a night for one night, and about 800 metrse from Bang Chak BTS
93 Building
Got it for 950 a night
I'm renting a more humble bigger gaff next week

One question there Dill,....are these places you're putting forward g/f friendly?
Purely for research purposes, of course.

Any problems give me a tinkle and i'll sort it for you
I had a doc appointment in Bangkok at about 5 pm couldn't fly so took the train from nongkhai arriving about 6.30 in the morning, overdone it with the smuggled beers and whiskey ( the new trains are excellent by the way) so took the mrt to Asok and as I could feel a gout attack coming on ( fucking Leo beer) decided to just find a gaff and chill out come appointment time, walked into paradiso boutique hotel soi 10 and paid 1700 baht, pretty chuffed that I could check in at about 9 in the morning, not a bad little room , even have a BJ bar next door called lollipop 1 but that was disapointing, maybe I was to early? Terrible line up, better get my ass on tinder now that shrewd punter has given me the info on how he rolls. Back on the train now, been sneaking a cigarette in the bogs, no smoking or drink siince some somchais fuced up on the yy
I will come down and take the bird off your hands.......for free

Didn't realise you were so bendy Dilly.
You fat coont
As a now infrequent visitor to Bkk I have really noticed the prices for hotels have sky rocketed. While I used to pay 700 baht for a room that quickly climbed to 1,500 baht and now is 2,500 baht.
I recommend using airbnb to find a decent place.
I hope you tweet like crazy when you are there Matt - look forward to reading your thoughts on what has changed.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.
The pic is a bit dark on my screen. Is Dilly on top or the bottom?Didn't realise you were so bendy Dilly.

“Unexpectedly decrepit”
Reviewed December 11, 2016
When we booked the Atlanta Hotel, we thought it would be old but well-kept, since it was a wee bit snooty on their website. When we got there, we were greeted with a weird stink that you only get from old and uncleaned surroundings. They did say they were a budget hotel, but honestly, it's not worth your money at all. Yeah, the lobby is cute, but go up to the rooms and you can see that it has only it's lobby going for it.
There were no elevators so we had to climb 4 flights of stairs each time. There's no hot shower, no free bottled water, no shampoo. The restaurant food was average at best.
The only great thing about this hotel are the bed and pillows. Otherwise, I don't recommend anyone staying here. Just don't.
Stayed December 2016, traveled with friends
Stayed there in 1999, they let whores in then for 104 baht but they hated the walk up the stairs!
'THE ATLANTA IS A SANCTUARY FOR MANY RESCUED CATS, TERRAPINS AND ONE DOG'
Hence the nasty stink!!
I've walked in there before...
They had a decent idea (a real corner on the market) that can be very......well, nice.
Why the owners chose to then exude the entire atmosphere with uptight, pretentious twatiness - I'll never really understand.
