I recognize that dude. Ive seen him singing live with his band in Phuket, he has a cracking looking Thai wife and a few kids .
Also does his own TV program and in conjunction with other Thais, its a comedy show as well.
He also speaks fluent Thai.
In conclusion he is one smart dude who has become very successful in Thailand, he has my respect and good on him.
Must respect an Expat who reaches his level

^ I think the show is still running on the weekend. It's called ' Oh Prajow ' ( oh my god ).
The big star on the show is Teng ( second from left ) who is a well known Thai comedian as is the Thai bloke on the right whose name I've forgotten.
Yes....Todds come a long way since he was a tefler. Good luck to him.
Hoi looks like a little cracker.
Good on ya.
She was. Unfortunately, the last time we ' dated ' she was so pissed , she fell asleep on the job. Some blokes would feel insulted but it turned out pretty good anyway.
( cue Vincent Price sinister laugh )
As for the babes thread....have to wait for my next U.K. trip and I'll sort the wheat from the chaff and post some up ... so save your kleenex for 2013.
( Mayan end of the world in December not wihstanding )
Great photos Bangyai, lots of memories for me, I was living in the Philippines in the early eighties, remember Fields Ave in Angeles and Puerto Galero well, sadly all my pictures from that era disappeared with a previous relationship...
Great pics in my view. Wish I were around to see those days! Thanks for sharing.I dug out some old photos taken with a cheap 16mm cartridge compact camera from back in the early 80's.
Terrible quality
Nice photo's Bangyai.I live a few mins from Nai Harn and it is a bit different now.
Still one of the best beaches on the Island though as there are not many restaurants
touts and NO jet ski's.I first visited Phuket in 1983 but did not get down as far as Rawai, Nai Harn.
I will try to get a photo from the point you did and post it for you.
Thailand must have been great back then but I'm glad I did not come here, it would have made it that much more difficult to return home, and back then I would have needed to return home.
^
Jesus, I nearly fell into that trap myself. First trip to Thailand in 1987 and thought I'd found Nirvana.
Was going to chuck my career and go full time into the diving industry.
Thank fok I didn't. Be fuked Now.

Yep. Better to make a load of dosh and just visit once a year until you can retire comfortably.
Yes, him and fat Nong are on "Thai Ting Tong TV" Channel 3 soon, 3pm. They crease my Missus upOriginally Posted by Bangyai
I dunno ........ live for the moment ...thats me. I chucked up a good job and it hasn't worked out so bad. Not as rich as I might have been but I've had a lot of good years put under my belt. Besides , one door closes and another opens.
Unfortunately , I do know one or two people that did the ' right thing 'and waited for a good retirement package only to kick the bucket not long after.
Back in those days I used to think the following about Thailand:
" This cannot possibly last as it is now ..... "
Looking at the way Thailand is today , I think that at least for myself, I made the right decision. The girls were cheap and friendly and I was young and strong.
Nowadays I can relax and not worry about what the Pattaya zimmerman mob are up to. Been there....done that.
The picture you took at Nai Harn beach. was it from the Sunset Bungalows?
awesome stuff mate, really enjoyed the pics you posted

Great pics and narrative.. nice to see what 'back in the day' really looked like.
Unfortunately , the first Ms Bangyai found the ' Alma action ' album and reduced it to confetti, not that any of them would have lasted 5 minutes on TD. Last I heard she was married to an American in the USAF whom she met when he was on TDY in Angeles City. Hope she's happy wherever she is.
Here's our favourite song though. Once I explained some of the lyrics it became one of her favourites
And when we passed through Manila we used to eat near this weird building.
